Rumours are bubbling that Tory backbenchers, increasingly uneasy about the cosy coalition, are planning something of an internal revolution. Jumping on David Davis’ alleged description of the governmental love-in as the “Brokeback Coalition”, Mark Pritchard, recently elected to chair the 1922 Committee, is reportedly attempting to rally backbench dining clubs the 92 Group, Cornerstone and the No Turning Back Group into an all-encompassing “Brokeback Group”.
