Gone are the days when the parliamentary spotlight shone upon the ever-grumpy, ever-lumpy facade of the ex-Prime Minister. Nowadays, the “mad, bad and dangerous” one mostly gives the Commons the proverbial cold Scottish shoulder, even on such important issues as yesterday’s Academies Bill.
As the Rt. Hon. Guido revealed today, Gordon was just one of two MPs who failed to “Yay” or “Nay” to this particular snippet of legislation, the other being Jenny Willott, who might be excused considering she has just given birth. Poor old Gordon’s struggling out in the BIg Wide World - only last week Politickle saw him trudging along Great Peter St. all on his lonesome. We almost feel sorry for the man…almost, mind…
