In either an uncharacteristic commitment to their work or the best political PR stunt ever, MPs have been told off by Malcolm Jack, clerk of the House of Commons, for sleeping in their commons offices. Mr. Jack said that fire safety procedures meant that sleeping in offices posed a health and safety risk, but MPs were last night rumoured to be complaining that, what with the expenses clampdown, their offices were the most convenient places to kip.
