Laurie Penny, successful feminist blogger and New States(wo)man hack, has been delving and diving among the fresh-faced figures of tomorrow’s Toryism, in what sounds like a quite amusing, if less than eventful, night at Mahiki. You can read all the dirt on pink shirts, conservative chauvinism and Maggie’s sexual allure here, though the punch line hardly lives up to the preamble of ”I had to pretend I was a racist for an evening. It was terrifying”. Less racism, more sniffy-nosed superiority by the sounds of things, and more seems to have been invested in hyperbole than is usually recommended with these things…
